The longtime internet knitting community Ravelry updated its content policy this week to ban support of President Donald Trump from the platform. The new policy holds that support for Trump is support for white supremacy, which is not conducive to positive community-building.
Ravelry’s announcement of the policy change, made on Twitter on June 23, was short and to the point, noting, “We cannot provide a space that is inclusive of all and also allow support for open white supremacy.”

Green mermaid hair….kinda blue tho
I lightened my hair again for a new attempt at green. It ended up more teal/blue than I like but still came out ok. I used manic panic enchanted forest and after midnight. I also added some midnight blue/black from ion because I considered the roots too bright. So my hair now has 4 shades, blue/black, dark blue/green, green/real, and faded green on the ends.

Green Hair
So for my birthday I dyed my hair my favourite colour. I used Jade Green from Ion. And midnight blue for roots. I had to lighten my hair several times, which took a week. I think it turned out fabulous.

Update on Twitter lockout
So I got a reply to my appeal. Basically they reiterate that my account will remain locked for reasons they already stated. It doesn’t matter that I didn’t actually do any hate speech towards people based on any of the criteria listed, they are apparently unwilling to rationally implement their rules.
Twitter Account Locked…..for the dumbest of reasons
Just got notified my twitter account (@ciarin) is locked, and in order to unlock it I have to delete the offending tweet. Or I can appeal, so I appealed. My tweet got flagged for being hateful and I’m not allowed to harass or threaten on the basis of gender, gender identity, race, religion, disease, etc. The funny thing is, none of that occurred my tweet. It was a tweet AGAINST anti-trans bigotry. The person I called a cunt is a TERF(Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist). These are transphobic assholes who harass and endanger trans people, particularly trans women. But Twitter seems to think that I’m the bad guy, and locked my account. Meanwhile, all the transphobic accounts remain untouched. SO fucking stupid.
I will wait on the appeal, but if it doesn’t happen then fuck twitter. THey suck ass for allowed bigoted accounts with hate speech and lock the accounts that fight them. They allow donald trump for fucks sake. Such bullshit.

So, Al Franken says he’s gonna resign.
If it was just the one incident, then I’d be fine with him staying on and waiting for an ethics investigation. But it’s 7(or 8?) so far, it’s a pattern. It’s his behaviour, that is the issue. I’ve never called for his resignation, but since he’s decided to do that, I’m fine with it. It shows people that Dems are taking sexual misconduct allegations more seriously than the GOP who still have plenty of known sexual predators in office, including the president.
Trump, Roy Moore, these guys have nothing to worry about because conservative give them a pass. Conservatives would rather support a child molester than a guy who prosecuted the Klan who did the 16th St Baptist Church Bombing. These people are deranged.
Charlie Rose is being replaced with Christiane Amanpour. We should do the same for every disgraced predator, replace them with women who don’t need to play grab ass with subordinates all the fucking time.
